Auxiliary output 5V @ 20mA Isolation 2500V r.m.s. Operating temperature 0 to +55°C Op-amp input voltage ±10·5V Standards UL 94-V0 Trigger Modules Phase Angle Firing Features In each mains half-cycle the duration of thyristor or triac conduction is determined by the firing instant, relative to mains polarity changeover. Once switched on, the driven thyristors conduct power to the load until the end of each applied half-cycle, resulting in a chopped sine wave output. A ramp and pedestal input circuit, allowing variation of firing phase angle, enables more power through the load with increasing conduction angle. Step changes in load current generate Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). In sensitive applications this interference must be suppressed to comply with the relevant EMC standards or to prevent interaction with other components. This can be achieved by the addition of EMC mains filter networks. In repeating 1 second periods the number of complete mains sine waves is varied in its ON/OFF ratio, or duty cycle. The burst firing circuit provides trigger pulses coincident with the mains zero polarity changeover ensuring only complete half cycles are passed through to the resistive loads. Virtually no Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) is produced. Burst Firing Features
